Which documents do I need to visit Argentina?<\/strong><\/p>\n

International travel documents required to visit Argentina:<\/p>\n

1. Valid passport (mandatory).
\n2. Visa \u2013 Tourist or business visa is not required for stays of 90 days or less.
\n3. travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en.html<\/a><\/strong> Firearm Control Forms Every firearm and ammunition will need a Permit for Temporary\u00a0Importation of Firearms. Fill in the \u201cTechnical Form for Argentina\u201d and print four (4) copies. These forms have been included in your trip package. You can also\u00a0get them at: http:\/\/www.renar.gov.ar\/index_seccion.php?seccion=requisitos_en&m=4<\/strong> <\/a>. After claiming your baggage and before walking through the Customs, you will have to contact the\u00a0Airport Police (Polic\u00eda Aeron\u00e1utica) to have this form stamped. Do not sign this form before arriving to this Office. Stamps cost approximately US$ 100 \/firearm.<\/p>\n

4. Departure fee: US$ 25.00 (subject to change).<\/p>\n

5. U.S. Customs Form \u2013 MANDATORY – U.S. Customs is strictly enforcing an Alcohol \/ Tobacco \/ Firearms law that requires individuals to pre-register all firearms with U.S. Customs prior to departing the U.S. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in confiscation upon return to the U.S. We strongly recommend all U.S. citizens to declare or register all their firearms, cameras, expensive optics, jewelry and other valuables that they will be taking abroad prior to leaving the U.S. Individuals will need to submit these items at a U.S. Customs office to receive a certified declaration of origin. This document is called a \u201cCertificate of Registration for Personal Effects Taken Abroad\u201d (Form 4457). U.S. Customs offices are usually located near international airports. Individuals need to make arrangements with the U.S. Customs office prior to their trip to comply with this requirement before travelling.<\/p>\n

6. Medical issues \u2013 Visit your physician to discuss the best alternative for you. Your physician may also refer you to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

7. CITES \u2013 Appendix II – Blackbuck. You will need a CITES permit from the exporting country. Visit http:\/\/www.fws.gov\/permits\/index.html<\/a><\/strong>, and click on Import\u00a0\/ Export for additional information and the corresponding forms. Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).<\/p>\n

8. If you will be traveling with a minor (under the age of 18), please be aware that a written consent from BOTH parents is required to travel abroad with a child.<\/p>\n

Do I need a medical statement or immunization certificate?<\/strong>
\nNeither of these will be required when travelling to Argentina.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/span>FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION<\/div>
\n

In order to bring your firearm legally into Argentina, you need to get a temporary permit, both for the firearm and the ammunition.
\nPlease check the website of the National Firearm Registry (Registro Nacional de Armas, hereunder, RENAR) (http:\/\/www.renar.gov.ar<\/a>) for the necessary information and required forms.
\nComplete the forms and submit them at the Argentinean Consulate for approval.<\/p>\n

FIREARM CONTROL<\/strong>
\nKeep your boarding card during your stay in Argentina.
\n<\/strong><\/strong>Arriving at Buenos Aires – Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE).
\nAfter Passport Control, and as soon as you have claimed your baggage and your firearm from the conveyor belt, look for the sign of the Federal Police of Argentina (Polic\u00eda Federal Argentina – PFA) \u2013 RENAR.<\/p>\n

It is a small, hard-to-see office at the end of a long corridor, on the right side along the Duty Free Shop. The access door is located at the end of such area, a little bit further to the right. Knock, if it is closed.<\/p>\n

Several flights from the U.S. and Europe land at the same time during the hunting season; therefore a queue can be expected. Each hunter takes about 15 minutes or more to complete the control procedure.<\/p>\n

One member of our staff will be waiting outside this office. The Renar Officer will have your name and knows that we are waiting to assist you.\u00a0The Officer will fill in a form before you can pay the fee. With this form, you will return to the Customs area and pay applicable fees at the Banco de la Naci\u00f3n Argentina, and if necessary, you can also exchange money. Your passport and boarding card will be required to exchange money. Banco de la Naci\u00f3n Argentina is a little counter to the right side, just before the EXIT.<\/p>\n

Price per firearm is AR$ 1.000 (approximately US$ 71).
\nFirearm with two (2) barrels: AR$ 2.000.<\/p>\n

After you have paid the fees, you will submit the stamped receipt at the Renar office. You will receive three (3) copies of the form stamped and signed by the Renar Officer.<\/p>\n

Return to the Duty Control area<\/strong>. There, you will submit one (1) of the copies stamped by the Renar officer. Please, keep the other two (2) copies at hand. This Form is your permit to take the rifle with you in Argentina.
\nThe Duty Officer will ask you for a Proforma Invoice and other documents. When you arrive at the airport, a member of our staff will be waiting for you with your file and signed firearm permit. (Tax payment booth – Federal Administration of Public Revenue – Administraci\u00f3n Federal de Ingresos P\u00fablicos (AFIP)<\/strong> is located to the left, before the exit).<\/p>\n

One member of our staff will meet you immediately after exiting the Duty Free area. Look out to the right side, next to Mc Caf\u00e9 \/ Mc Donald\u2019s restaurant, for someone holding a sign with your name to welcome you.<\/p>\n

Ammunition:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Domestic flights in Argentina: Transporting ammunition in your baggage on<\/strong> any of the Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas flights is forbidden. You will have to remove all ammunition from your baggage before checking in. Ammunition must be kept in the firearm case or in a different locked case<\/strong> that will be dispatched separately. The airline will place the case in a plastic bag.<\/p>\n

Firearm case: only the firearm and its ammunition should be carried in this case. NO GARMENTS SHOULD BE INCLUDED.<\/p>\n

Domestic Airport:<\/strong> Assistance during the baggage check-in process and firearm control (Airline staff will accompany us to the PFA \u2013 RENAR office): Firearms and ammunition will be controlled, checked in and sealed and will remain at the Renar office until the airline officer takes them to the plane. A member of our staff will walk you to the corresponding departure gate.<\/p>\n

International flights:<\/strong> Most airlines require that firearms be kept in their cases. Carrying your firearm without a case or box inside your baggage is forbidden. Contact the airline to confirm this information as each company operates with different requirements.<\/p>\n

This procedure is repeated upon arrival at Santa Rosa, on the return trip to Buenos Aires, and at the end of your flight home.
\nControls at the domestic airport and in Santa Rosa will be faster.
\nAt Santa Rosa airport, one member of our staff will be waiting to drive you to the ranch.<\/p>\n

Do you hire firearms if I do not carry my own?<\/strong>
\nLos Molles can supply firearms and ammunition to hunters who are not able to bring their own. These are the available firearms:
\n2 (two) Zastava 308, with Kales scope 2,5-10*502
\n2 (two) Zastava 300, 1 (one) with Carl Zeiss scopes 2,5-10*56 and the other with scope 2,5-10*50
\n1 (one) Remington 308
\n1 (one) Mauser 30-06
\n1 (one) Berno 30-06
\n1 (one) Berno 375<\/p>\n

Do I need to get a hunting permit?<\/strong>
\nYes, you need a hunting permit. Our company can get one for you, if required.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/span>CLOTHES AND SPECIAL EQUIPMENT<\/div>
\n

1) Packable raingear, just in case of intense rain or general bad weather.
\n2) Camo jacket or parka combined with a lightweight jacket vest. These should be easy to pack away during the day as the temperature rises.
\n3) Hunting shirts
\n4) Fleece sweater
\n5) Hunting pants
\n6) Thermax\u00ae medium long underwear (tops and bottoms)
\n7) Several pairs of medium or lightweight socks
\n8) We consider that leather boots with Gore-Tex thinsulate are great for all hunting seasons. Make sure your boots have been broken in before your trip.
\n9) Stocking cap
\n10) Hat with brim
\n11) Medium weight hunting gloves
\n12) Camp shoes
\n13) Leather backpack with a daypack or fanny pack
\n14) Camera with extra batteries
\n15) High-quality binoculars
\n16) Rangefinder (optional)
\n17) Hunting knife
\n18) Flashlight and extra batteries
\n19) Rifles (scope sighted) and 2-3 boxes of ammunition. One rifle class 30-06 or higher you can handle at ease.
\n20) Personal items – Lip balm, repellent lotion, pain reliever, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.

How much rain can be expected during the hunting days?<\/strong>
\nBased on local weather variability, wearing light rain boots and waterproof gear is highly recommended.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/span>HUNTING PRESERVE<\/div>
\n

Does an outfitter guide the hunting experience?<\/strong>
\nA guide will be escorting all hunters (1 x 1).<\/p>\n

Which languages do outfitters speak?<\/strong>
\nIn spite of the fact that Spanish is the main language, there will always be somebody who speaks English or German fluently at the hunting preserve.<\/p>\n

Which are the hunting days and hours? Is hunting made on foot or on vehicles?<\/strong>
\nHunting days depend on the selected species. Hunting hours for the red deer are from early morning until midday and from mid-afternoon to dusk. You can either chase the trophy or wait for it.
\nBoars are usually hunted from a wooden lookout tower under the moonlight.
\nYou can either wait for a cougar or you can chase it through the woodland.
\nFor all the remaining species, an outfitter will chase the animals in the woodland and will recommend best trophy for each hunter. There are 4×4 vehicles in Los Molles.<\/p>\n

Is it possible to reserve the hunting preserve for a limited number of hunters instead of sharing it with other people?<\/strong>
\nThis is possible, as long as the group includes a minimum of eight (8) hunters between March 1 and April 20. As from April 20, a smaller number of participants is required: 4 (four) hunters.<\/p>\n

How can I pay for the trophy fees and other expenses at the hunting preserve?
\n<\/strong><\/strong>The following payment methods are accepted at the hunting preserve: cash (AR$ – pesos argentinos, American dollars and euros), checks and bank transfers.<\/p>\n

In case of accident or illness, how does the local sanitary system work? What about purchasing medicine in Argentina?<\/strong>
\nWe have a first-aid kit with basic medicine. However, we recommend our visitors to bring any special medicine they might need. If you become ill and cannot be treated at the ranch, we will take you immediately to the nearest hospital.
\nWe recommend buying Travel Insurance before leaving home.<\/p>\n

Do I have any type of insurance?<\/strong>
\nEach visitor in the ranch will have to get his own insurance policy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Which payment methods are accepted in Argentina?<\/strong>
\nPeso argentino (AR$) is the local currency. Many shops also accept American dollars, euros and other foreign currencies. Credit cards are also used.<\/p>\n
